How does it work?

Isotretinoin works by decreasing the size, differentiation and activity of the oil or sebaceous glands in the skin. It reduces the amount of sebum. When your skin is not producing excess sebum, pores are not clogged and breakouts do not appear. Controlling sebum also controls acne.

Unlike most acne medications, you don't need to take Accutane continuously to keep breakouts at bay. To get good results, most people only need one course of treatment, lasting five to six months. Some people require a second course of treatment to completely clear the skin.

After stopping Accutane treatment, pimples rarely reappear. If needed, you can switch to a topical anti-acne remedy after taking Accutane tablets to maintain clear skin.

How is it used?

Accutane tablets are intended to be taken once or twice a day with a meal. Swallow the tablets whole.

The recommended starting dose is 0.5 mg isotretinoin per kilogram body weight daily. After a few weeks, the dose can be adjusted by the doctor. The usual standard dose is 0.5 to 1.0 mg of isotretinoin per kilogram of body weight daily.

The duration of treatment with Accutane depends on the daily dose and is usually 16-24 weeks. Most patients with acne only need one course of treatment.

I have suffered from acne for 5 years. It all started when I was 18. I`ve tried everything and wasted a lot of money on it. I got new pimples every day until I came across the Accutane remedy. The Accutane tablets showed the effect on me after a week. I stopped getting pimples and even the blackheads have dried up and are less visible. The price I paid for the improvement in my skin was itching and reddening of the skin for the first few days of use. The side effects have already disappeared. I haven`t had any new pimples yet and I`m very happy.
